Victor, New York - July 25, 2000 - BioWorks, Inc. announced today that it has received notification from the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) that the company's EPA-registered biological fungicide, PlantShield™ Biological Foliar and Root Fungicide, based on Trichoderma harzianum strain T-22, is ALLOWED for use in the production of organic food and fiber.

PlantShield carries a 0-hour restrictive entry interval and is a preventative biofungicide for the control of Pythium, Rhizoctonia and Fusarium root diseases plus Botrytis and Powdery Mildew foliar diseases.
